EXHIBITION

Our annual exhibition gives our members, and the club, a chance to show their work off to the public. This year the exhibition is on November 14th and 15th and open from 10am to 4pm on both days. Entry is free and light refreshments are available. The event is held at our normal meeting place of The Priory Centre, Church Road, Stretton.

We are please to announce that the show will be officially opened by the Mayor of Burton, Cllr Geoff Morrison at 2.00pm on the Saturday.

This is also a chance for you to show what you can do with a camera by entering our Open Competition. Details of this competition are shown below.

 

Open Competition - There are two classes of entries

Class1: Adult and Class 2: Junior ( under 16)

The competition is open for anyone who likes taking photographs , you choose the subject. Anyone who lives in the Burton area can enter except BPS club members.

Prizes - will be awarded to the winners

Rules:

  • You may submit up to three prints of your own work in either colour or
    black and white
  • Prints may be of any size up to 20" x 16" (51cm x 40cm)
  • Prints may be mounted on lightweight board not exceeding 20" x 16"
  • Please print name, age (if under16), address and contact number on the reverse of each print.
  • If you wish your entries returned please include a stamped addressed envelope.
  • The organisers will take the utmost care of your work, but cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage
  • The organisers reserve the right to withdraw from exhibition any images they consider unsuitable
  • Copyright remains with the author but the organisers reserve the right to reproduce any entry for use in BPS promotion.

Entries should be handed in to Chris Goodheads Camera Shop in Burton no later than and including Saturday November 7th.

All winning prints and a selection of entries will be on display as part of our annual exhibition.
